Paul Stuart recently (maybe within the past year) introduced a fit called the "Paul". It is their shot at younger guys I guess you could say. It is 2-button, dual vented, fairly slim lapel, high arm-hole and trim cut.

I'm 6'1" 162 lbs and I was able to special order a size 39 medium-long. It took 2 weeks. The pants are on the narrow side of normal and they took the pleats out for me. The pants came out flawless...no sign that there were ever pleats there.

The tailor understood that I was going for a slimmer silhouette and they suppressed the waist just right (it didn't need to be taken in that much anyway). Overall I'm really happy with the suit. I consider it my slim, yet conservative work appropriate suit.

Two different salesmen there told me it was fully-canvassed (I asked 2 differnt people just to avoid confusion). It is made in Canada. $935.

Interesting, i assume this must be the samhuelsen make. when you say special order was it MTM? i like the sound of the cut but would prefer 3 button or roll 2.5 and am wondering if this could be accomodated in the same time frame you referenced.

I wonder if this is the sammy suit. I have one from last year and while i love the quality and construction, its not slim. Was it MTM or just size ordered. It would be most helpful if you could photo or tell us any identifying inside labels for those of us to take to ps.

The suit isn't MTM, it is OTR. As I mentioned before, it is the "Paul" model. Sorry for the confusion about the "special order". I special ordered the medium-long length. My size is somewhat odd (39 m/l) so I had the store order it. They had a 39R that fit well but it wasn't quite long enough so they told me they could get the 39m/l in 2 weeks. The suit is made in Canada. I bought it in New York. It is definitely slimmer than the older Made in Canada suits (which are way to boxy for me).
