That's beautiful, Max.

The woman I'm currently dating recently attended a wedding in Newfoundland, where she ate seal fin pie. She - a well-traveled, adventurous eater - described it as the stuff of nightmares.

Thanks. I'll be in California the 21 of July- 4 of August, if you want to have a meet up let me know.

Sounds great. I have some tentative work travel overlapping with that, but should be around for at least part of that stretch.

Up and down the coast again, or all in LA?

Up this time. Starting in LA, then will spend the bulk of my time in Santa Barbara and leaving out of San Francisco. Will have a Fiat so I'll be pretty flexible.

Home made desiree potato gnocchi with two blue and goats cheese in a reduced cream sauce with garlic and black pepper.

Mixed green salad lemon and EV olive oil dressing.

Washed down with The Laughing Magpie, Shiaz Viognier from McLarne Vale a favourite of Mrs GF and mine.

Then Mrs GF Granny Smith and Rasberry crumble. Perfect winter fare and all of this with 4 hours of rugby.

All is bliss all is bliss I am dancing at the feet of my lord.

Had dinner at Trois Mec in Mid City LA. This was the dish of the night: dungeness crab, grapefruit and gelatinized ceviche, topped with avocado. Would go again.
