Boycotted wingtip Wednesday and wore Strands today. Look at the fuckery in my office. These are "dress shoes" a guy keeps at his desk.
Edit: I wasn't snooping, he left the box open like that.

I've converted a few coworkers to vintage or AE but some people are beyond help.

Speaking for myself - I used to wear shoes like that. Maybe the co-worker can't afford nicer footwear. Maybe he has really wide feet. Maybe he likes this style.

I was recently reprimanded at work for "judging someone without walking in their shoes."

So if HR is reading this - see, I did pay attention, and I am implementing the words of sage advice.

You did not know better back then. He has been counseled and cannot use that. You and I both have wide feet so that doesn't work either.
He wears $700 puffy coats so he can afford new shoes.
Yes, I am judging. I am personally offended by the continued existence of those bricks. HR should speak to him about offending me. He probably left the box open just to harass me. It's a shoe harassment conspiracy. I should seek a restraining order.

Hey all 10.5 D's. These are mislabeled and what's actually pictured are AE Grayson's in shell. If interested, verify with the seller before purchasing. Good luck.

Florsheim 97626s arrived today. Overall good condition. I sanitized with alcohol wipes and brushed a bit. Will do several rounds of conditioning. Then sending off to cobbler for rebuild.

Damn. I'd have jumped on those if I'd seen them in time.

A double dose of London style for Wingtip Wednesday. Church's Chetwynds to work today:
fullsizeoutput_21c4.jpeg

Next, the Alan McAfees I thrifted on Sunday. Only Bick 4 and Saphir Renovateur on them so far. That may be enough.

If anyone knows the era on these, I'd be interested in hearing your thoughts.

At some point Alan McAfee was bought by Church's, and a pair of A.M. Langton wingtips I have are marked inside with the squiggly calligraphic Church's style script. But these markings look like Alfred Sargent. So I don't know.

You know if we get enough time for the 2020 competition maybe someone will decide to re-last and goodyearwelt them.... Now THAT would be intense (and an epic waste of time and effort).

I like how the shape of the heel is the same shape as the toe. That makes it harder for someone to track you in the snow.
