^ To get them to pop like that I worked the channel the stitches are in with Clorox 2 and water, applied by a lot of store brand Q-Tips. Followed by gentle brushing with a soft toothbrush under running water.
Nice work. We use castille soap as foaming hand soap in our house. I’ve used that with a toothbrush and had great results. Have you saddle soap in the past, but I have found that it takes off some of the color from the uppers.

Getting the welts clean makes all the difference if they have contrast stitching.

These are 10 1/2 C and available if anyone is desirous. Then they'll be up on the Bay.

Wow brother those are looking great. Since I am a little heavy in wingtips passing. Actually wore my new EThrifted Grant Stones today and still wearing them to go out to eat later! Quality shoes definitely not only not hurt my back but feel that it will help keep my back, hips and knees well much longer in life! Everyone try to have the best Merry Christmas, Hanukah and Holidays. Tell yourself and keep saying it and it will be the best. Res

On another note did go by the 635 project car I had mentioned a few months ago...the “Land Shark” of the BMW line would be a great project car but would be interested in doing the V8 swap out similarly that was done on my V-12 XKE. However, my better half has said that I could buy a few more pairs of shoes with money saved from this “potential” money pit. Have you guys seen the new M6 that is out? May have to trade in ALL of my toys for a new Reno-SFO commuter car!

Be careful of online scams during this busy shopping season. I ordered some gifts for my wife on eBay. Instead 2 pairs of AE boots (Higgins Mill and Long Branch) are being shipped.

Dr. Bronner's is awesome and totally worth the price. We're all one or none! ALL-ONE! ALL-ONE!
Us too. Almond liquid for hand washing, Peppermint bar soap for showers. Great stuff.

Tonight I was tipped off tonight to the presence of these "Brown Oxfords" on Poshmark, listed for $45 CDN. They are of course John McHale Custom Bombers, in what appears to be pretty good condition, and in my size. More to follow when they arrive.

How do you prefer trousers to be finished?

  • Plain hem

  • Cuffed (1.5 inches or less)

  • Cuffed (more than 1.5 inches)

  • No preference, as long as the proportions work
