So, I've sent this in an email to all the participants. I am thinking of opening up preorders for a single day if people are interested in the this new aged bark Hopper:

Hi guys,

I have good news and a question. The first is that our boots are slated for production. However, Viberg no longer has the tobacco chamois in stock. After discussion with Viberg, we've decided to change the leather to the aged bark, which is in the same area in the color spectrum, and same weight and feel. On a pantone chart, it would be several spaces over towards the red part of the spectrum, but it has the same dark low tones. Here is a picture of the aged bark chukkas we did, which is a little dark, but shows the tone of the leather.

I really like this change, but I can also understand if this is not what you signed up for, and can issue a refund for your deposit if you wish.

I am going to finalize the order at the EBD (Pacific time) August 3, 2016, so as to not delay production. Please tell me if you wish for a refund by that time, and I can issue it immediately.

Otherwise, I will assume that you wish to continue with the project to get a kick ass pair of boots (I didn't order a pair for myself the first time, and am kicking myself still. This is my second chance).

Really excited for these! I added a hiker for the fall and winter so this will round things out nicely.
