Dude, relax. I'm breaking them in on a 6 am dog walk. I don't think the fashion police will arrest me. But thanks!

Yeah, but you are showing us this picture. I could care less how or what you wear outside of this forum, but it seems to me the idea of posting pics here should be to maximize aesthetics, not detract from. Plus, and I concede this may be a personal thing, the idea of wearing boots w/o socks seems kind of terrible on a few levels. Couldn't it simply have waited til you had a proper pair of pants on to snap a pic?

They are good looking boots, btw.

The amount of excitement from light colored Viberg shell boots is far too overwhelming to wait until you have “proper pants” on to put them on and take pics of them.

I for one am just happy and supportive of someone posting pics of their new pair they are excited about.

Keep the shell/short combo rolling! I’m in the Viberg boot thread - not how do I best style my boot thread

All of their stock photos are from Lost & Found's website. Looks fishy to me.

Right, I e-mailed the Viberg people. It may be a scam, though I really want those sand roughouts on the second page.

Those of you that sized down .5 from your regular Viberg size on the 110 last, about how much toe room do you have on a 2030 boot? I've got 3/4" to mabe an inch in front of my toes on 2030.

Wanted to ask opinions from this thread! I was wondering how much stretch and breaking in period is to be expected, if at all, with the Viberg Natural Chromexcel 2030 Brogued Captoe Partially Structured Service Boot? Is some snugness and breaking in expected for the first few or so wears? I have had the boots for awhile (still as of yet unworn), and length wise it is fine, however, at the front of the toe box, my big toe does feel a bit cramped at the front due to its seeming narrowness, especially when stepping forward. I have regular width feet, but have a bit higher volume at the front. I sized down about a half to a whole size from my brannock measurement (I measure just a little bit over 8.5 brannock), and purchased a size 8 for the boots. I don't know if a size 8.5 would have been a better fit, or if it would have than been too long for me. Don't know if it helps, but I also wear a size 8 with Alden's Barrie last and Red Wing Iron Rangers.

Should I simply break in and wear the size 8, with expectation that it will eventually stretch and break in to conform to my feet, or would I have been better suited to a size 8.5?

Thank you!

There's a really good chance the last is not good for your foot shape. It might be worth trying a half size larger just to see but I wouldn't expect much stretch if at all in the area you are having problems. CXL gives more easily than many of the other leathers offered but there's alot of structure in the toebox area that isn't going conform.

Thanks for the insight. Yeah, to be honest, I wonder if going a half size up would be too long for me and cause heel slip, since the size 8 in the 2030 last seems right in terms of length. It just seems to be narrow at the toe box. I did, for better or worse, end up putting an order for the new Himel Bros × Viberg Ammunition boot in size 8 as well, which I believe is a modified version of the 2045. I think I saw the 2045 is more spacious at the toe box, so hoping it might be a better last for my feet.

2045 doesn't have that taper which is probably what is bothering you with the 2030.

Just received the Division Road Port Vitello Calf boots. The leather is really beautiful, and of course pictures can’t quite capture it (phone camera anyway). It almost has a purple tint to it. I think this is the same leather as the Colour 1071 Calf, as the full name listed on DR’s site is Port 1071 Vitello. Let me know if I’m wrong.

Finishing is very clean. I’m quite happy with these. About to do the old dog walk break-in.
