I don't currently own any Viberg boots but I'd like to try a pair. I own a lot of boots from various other companies so I'm looking for something particularly awesome or unique.

What is the best way to find the newly released or upcoming Viberg models (before they are sold out)? Their website has a good selection with direct shipment from the manufacturer. Are there also a bunch of store-specific collaborations where people are picking up cool models?

I need to figure out my size too. I usually wear a 43 or 10, but often 9.5 in boots that run large so I was planning to try 9.5 first. Is it best to order something from the Viberg website to try on so I know what size to order in the future when I find the perfect leather? I don't see Vibergs in stores around the SF bay area.

I am the same size as you (10E brannock, 43). For most models, 9.5 with thick socks works well. For some 2030 last (the GYW models), thin socks are needed. For 110 last, I probably could go 9. I like my 1035 boots in 9.5 but I did score some cheap 1035 derbies in 9 that fit well.

Best way is to follow their instagram and sign up for the email list, you will get 2-3 days advance notice of new releases and restocks. It seems like the hype has died a bit -- there's more stock in the store -- but cordovan models sell out FAST, like in minutes to hours.

Guy at Viberg advised me to size down a full size from my Brannock size on all lasts and I did so on all of my boots.

My boots are on either the 1035 or 110 last. The 1035's fit perfectly one size down. The 110's, depending on the boot, either fit well with thick socks or fit fell with thick socks but maybe have a bit more room at the forefoot as they are EEE I believe. I probably could have gone down another .5 on a 110 chukka boot I bought.

My feet are D width but on the narrow side of D....

If I ever went with a 2030 boot, I probably would also size down one full size as my feet are not wide. But I also would order from a site that I could exchange the boots in case I should have only sized down .5 as many folks here do as the toe box is either too narrow or scrunches the tops of their toes.

Tried to do some digging and came up with a little less than firm choice. Looking at the 2030 last. I wear 10.5D in AE Strand/Neumok (65 last). I'm fairly solid on Alden Barrie in 10D, may be able to go 10C. Latest pair of boots are on the Grant last at 10.5D and are excellent. I'm seeing that I should go 10 or 10.5 or in some cases 9.5. Seems to be a wide spread but it seems as the shoes get larger the jumps down get smaller.

I actually had the opposite reaction, I would be interested to see them in person. The Mr. Porter pics make them look too clunky in my opinion. It's a little hard to tell though because the models appear to be wearing super skinny jeans/pants with 6-7in leg openings so it may be exaggerating the real style. Is it just me or did Mr. Porter re-calibrate their pricing to reality?

I prefer the clunky look. One of the reasons I like Alden and Viberg. Leave the sleek look for the guys across the pond.
