Me and @NYDRH were discussing this over the sample sale weekend - why doesn't Viberg just do an online open seconds sale? Do they really do this in person as some sort of prestigious event that only the few located near a specific zip code/those that have the ability to take off work and travel some ways away? Do they feel like an online seconds sale would somehow diminish the brand more than the constant mishaps we see from messy stitching, gouges and scratches and cuts on 'firsts' quality boots, completely mismatched panels of leather/shell like we've seen recently with the Armagnac drop? I dunno - lots of questions with probably no realistic answers outside of speculation.
I think the problem is a an online sale would be a logistics nightmare. Someone, at the least, would have to go in and make a page for each shoe that would be on sale (not all of the shoes are traditional builds where you could copy paste the info, some would require thorough documentation of the specifics). I’m sure people would also want pictures to document the condition of the boots. Then there is all the costs and time associated with shipping that many orders out. It would be a nightmare for a small brand.

Probably wouldn’t diminish the brand, but it could absolutely diminish demand for full price merchandise.

I’ve never been able to go to one, but totally get why they would want to unload maximum amount of merchandise in a way that limits exposure to the overall customer base that pays full price.

From having to ship all those shoes (costs of postage and packaging and the actual labor to box and ship out 500 shoes) and deal with e-commerce, it's probably financially more beneficial to do it all at one time and for basically cash and all at final sale. And you don't deal with people emailing regarding returns, etc.

This is my first pair on the 1035 last. I’m glad I went with something different than 2030 as most of my Vibergs are on that. I think it pairs well with the commando sole and the pull up characteristics of the leather. It really does fit similarly to 2030 with just a bit more toe room, though I found 2030 to fit me perfectly.

Looking amazing!!

Like a combination of horse and cxl which I guess they are leather and oil wise?
