Having been one of first stockists in the US to offer Universal Works and there not being a dedicated thread for this season yet to discuss this amazing brand, we felt a post was due on SF. We'll chime in with pics of our selections after this gets some traction.

What are the green Novestas with the d-ring laces?

Some great looking pieces in there , it’s like a UK engineered garments that’s more wearable imo.

There's been several universal works pieces that have caught my eye in the last year or so, but I never picked up anything because I don't know anything about the brand. The cheaper price point makes me wonder if the price/quality ratio is legit, or if it's just cheaply made clothes for people who don't want to spend EG-level money (aka me).

I had two of the UW baker pants -- one in beige cotton twill, the other in navy melton -- construction quality was fine, no complaints here. The cut on the baker pants was awesome, they had side seams that twisted around to the back and made for a great shape. Sadly, I never got the sizing quite dialed in, so donated them. Hopefully someone out there is enjoying the pants.
Not sure if they make the baker pants anymore, but I'd buy them again in a heartbeat if they came in an interesting fabric.

As somebody who lives in the U.K, they have a good rep, and I own several of their trousers. No complaints quality wise, and the cut is fairly consistent across seasons, with just the fabrics changing. Big fan of the double pleated trousers.

I have a waxed cotton jacket that leaks something terrible at one seam and a BDU jacket that is fantastic. Most of the other UW stuff I've handled has been really well made. Definitely more basic than EG.

@bencap You will find the quality exceptional. If it wasn't, it wouldn't be in our store.

How universal is Universal Works fabric from year to year? Say they produce a navy twill item two years in a row, will the fabrics match?
