It does remind me of a Russell check but I like this one’s color scheme more than the usual Russell.

Aside from Harrison’s Universal and Dugdale’s Fearnaught, are there any other recommended books for heavy worsted business suiting?

I got to see Harrison’s Universal in the flesh, and compare it to Dugdale’s English Classics (14 oz.) The Dugdale is more refined, but it’s not like the Universal is a potato sack. And while there probably isn’t much functional difference between the 14 oz. Dugdale and the 16 oz. Universal, there is an 18 oz. Universal navy twill that I’m really curious to see how it looks made up.

Handmade in Naples by a no more existing sartoria.

I was very impressed by the fabric. Still don't know how to define it.

It's even difficult to determinate its base colour!!

Vintage guys I buy from usually call that a fancy check or a multi check.

These 26 lengths made the cut.

Unfortunately, five others did not; primarily because they are duplicate lengths of commissions that are still going strong. I’ll list those five in our buy/sell thread soon.

Have a jacket and a raglan topcoat from the lighter weight end of that book. As you would expect.
