Last night, I sat down in a bunch of tree sap. Anyone know how to get that off my APCs?

"Tree sap" eh? Whatever. You're anonymous, you can tell us.

Anyways, Here's the superdenim encyclopedia on superfuture. Bottom of the first screen you'll see instructions on how to get gum, blood, and wine out. Combine the gum and wine instructions = profit?

EDIT: you should know, at the end of the gum thread some guy said he got tree sap on his jeans and it never... ever... came off.

I got some on a pair of d'artis last summer....still there today.

My mother used to make me rinse my hands in turpentine when I got sap on my hands when I was little. Never tried this on denim though.

i'm thinking mineral oil or rubbing alcohol. on another website, people seemed to be getting good results with hand sanitizer.

Keep it on there. It'll be unique. Imagine what it'll look like once the fading happens.

i know this works for getting wax out of carpet and upholstery, so give it a shot:

put a paper towel or a pice of a brown paper grocery bag over the sap and use an iron over it to heat it up. hopefully the paper will absorb the sap as it heats.

How do you prefer trousers to be finished?

  • Plain hem

  • Cuffed (1.5 inches or less)

  • Cuffed (more than 1.5 inches)

  • No preference, as long as the proportions work
