Some people says its a joint venture between Zegna and Ferragamo "Zefer" or whatever. The sales people in the TF store say its done by workshops in naples. The sales people at bergdorf say its done by a neopolitan shoe company can't really remember the name "maxvera napoli" or something along those lines. IMO i have a feeling they are made by a bunch of different people, because some of the models have similar soles to that maxvera or whatever its called which is also carried at bergdorf goodman, and some look kinda similar to that high end ferragamo/zegna collaboration that trazzmesa (sp?)

Max Verri! Thats it.

I can see that happening as well with Tom Ford but you would think that a department store such as Harrods could give 50% at the end of season without watering down the brand. I am not sure Harrords even carries TF products. However, the best places to get discounted rates on TF is outside Europe and North America where brands need local sponsorship or rather partnerships to set up shop such as the UAE, Saudi Arabia and Kuwait. I have gotten great deals on TF in these places because the local owners will discount at the end of season as merchandise cannot be sent back to the TF or something like that. If you travel to these regions for business, scout out the fashion outlets.

Supposedly Louis Vuitton burns some unsold merch so it won't diminish the brand. If they are doing it, its likely TF is as well.

I may be wrong but I believe Selfridges and Harrods are the only 2 places in London that sell Tom Ford, and at Selfridges TF did not have a sale on

Just weighing in here a little...

I find a lot of TF models look very odd on that elongated last. I own a pair of TF Adeleides which I have to say are probably my favourite pair of shoes.

The model seems to suit the last a little better than the other offerings from TF. The heel stack is a little high though....!

Is there a stitching flaw there on the welt?

I think most men dont want to go above 1 inch. I make elevator shoes myself and always keep the heels at 1 inch. I see no harm in going for a Modern Brand, No shame in that.

That may be true, but I think when it's a Chelsea boot or derby boot somehow men feel comfortable going higher...when you don't call it a boot anymore suddenly they don't want that heel so high.
