Got my MTO! A beautiful Hatch Grain Tan Velasquez Split Toe Derby in 9 narrow.
The fit of the Velasquez seems similar to the Goya, maybe a touch roomier. The instep is great though, not too high.

I added some side by side photos with a pair of Edward Green Dovers in Dark Oak. Note those are 9.5/10C - double narrow, so they'll look a bit thinner in comparison. The fit is pretty similar to the Edward Green 82. Style wise, you can see very minor differences. They look equally refined and finished, perfect detailing.

I'm thrilled with them, although I have two gripes: first, the leather isn't the softest, but that's ok, they'll break in.

The more serious issue is the color. When I order something in Tan, I expect it to be a light, maybe light-medium brown. These are very much a medium dark brown. Compare to the EG in Doak - Dark Oak is a dark brown, and the TLB are maybe one shade lighter. I ordered them in this color because I specifically wanted a lighter brown shoe.

TLB seems to have that issue across all its browns. They're darker than advertised. My first pair is in Vegano brown and they are significantly darker than the EG Dark Oak. I have a pair in brown suede, and they are very, very dark - espresso colored, almost black in certain lights. I wish TLB would lighten its browns to be more similar to what you would expect with other makers.

Anyway, beautiful shoes, impeccable detailing, and I'd say a fabulous value side by side with Edward Green.

Thank you for choosing TLB Mallorca for your first pair! The Dustin II in custom-made vegano leather is an excellent choice, and we hope you’re enjoying the combination of elegance and comfort with the city rubber sole. Please let us know if there’s anything else we can do to enhance your experience with us. Amazing pics btw!

Hi @TLB Mallorca

I would appreciate your guidance to decide which size and model I would go for my first pair of TLB. Actually, I think that if they work for me -size and style wise- TLB will become my reference brand. Fingers crossed.
I am in doubt between Goya and Picasso.
If I would get answers for these 2 questions, I would be in a far better position to make a decision.

1. In terms of dimensions/style, could you tell me if any of those are longer, shorter or the same length as these others:
Carmina Rain
Carmina Simpson
Yanko 915
CJ 341

2. In terms of size, I normally wear UK8 (standard width) for CJ 341and Carmina Rain, Yanko 915 (0.5 up for Carmina Simpson). I wouldn't mind go for UK8.5 if the shoe is shorter thar the ones I mentioned above. That is the limit, I would not wear a longer shoe than them in UK8.
Which size would you suggest for Goya and Picasso?

Thanks in advance.

Hello @TLB Mallorca

After so much researching looking to buy a MTO pair with a Goya last.

I think I need help with sizing. My feet measuring both is 24cm. I was looking around your size chart and I see if might fit best with a UK 6.5 F. Would this be the best option? Based on the Brannock device I am measuring US 6 D standard. But my current dress shoes AE is a US 7.5D. With the Goya last would a 6.5 F standard be a good
idea?

Hope you can help me out

Email TLB. Toni will respond and he will get you together. He did it for me. I have wide feet. Toni put me in an H width (double wide width). I now have 4 pairs of TLB shoes. Great shoes. And, Toni is a great guy to deal with.
