The megathreads in MC turn me off more than in the CESpool. People circle jerk about AE in one thread, Carmina in another, etc. It is a lot less about the theory or
practice of dressing today than it was when I joined (or when I lurked).

There are pros to having a dedicated thread to a specific brand or store - learn about new offerings, sales, etc in one place, but it becomes more about the parts than the whole. Perhaps only the whnay's good taste thread is really about the whole anymore.

The same is similar in the food/drink/travel threads.

Back in the days you're talking about people used to actually complain about what you're saying you prefer and I think that's how the mega-threads started to develop. Yet another demonstration that it's impossible to please everyone.

Is traffic in that forum down as much as it appears to be? If you go back to like page 150 or so of the forum there seems to be significantly more discussion than today. The fact that Donald Trump just got elected President and yet there are only like five threads that people have said something in is pretty depressing. It should be a zoo in there.
