Continued attempt at clothes that aren't cm and feel right. Help please.

This okay? What for shoes? Sandals, monochrome sneskers? I only have leather shoes. :(

I think it's refreshing that you're not trying to post another boring denimz and plain white sneakers fit, as some have offered as advice. You didn't nail it first try but there are plenty of regular posters here who still aren't nailing it.

I'd suggest trying some black boots or RO Ramones and swapping out the cardigan for a long collared black shirt or a scarf to give some weight and structure on top. Something like this...

I've worn other clothes between those you know :/

I'll post another fit later and hope to see if your mind can be changed, but I hope you'd judge me going forward.

Liking a certain aesthetics is grounds enough to begin experimenting. It's okay to start off on a shaky ground, noone gets it right in the first try.

I think you could take a more 'Japanese grandpa' approach. Trousers look pretty okay to me, but you can swap the t-shirt with a textured loose-fitting shirt (eg. Kapital) with a mid-length coat that has volume (Jan Jan van Essche and Lemaire do this very well). Shoes could be leather sandals or some artisanal derbies.

This is just a suggestion of a direction that you can consider, which I've made according to the vibe I'm getting from this outfit alone, with no knowledge of your history whatsoever.

Bootcut jeans are pretty hard to pull off with boots; without them, they pretty much always look bad. The late-00's-mall-brand distressing job doesn't help, either.

The shirt looks a little tight, IMO. Brad's right about the jeans.

Fok put up a special one off post on sneakers for people who are usually boot people. Might be worth a look for some basic sneaker options.

Potentially check these out: http://www.kentwang.com/shoes?cat=74

The Noodles - Taper the jeans from the knee down. If you're going to wear such a snug t-shirt you need more definition. Not meant as an insult, just saying a little gym action would probably go a long way there

thanks all.
I see what I am doing wrong.
The dang jeans aren't "boot" cut but the leg openings are 17" and hence the look.
Man boobs need to go.
Thanks again

I think if @Isolation didn't say he was from CM and just starting out, the fit would be considered pretty good and interesting. I could see that paired with certain sandals, simple derbies (marsell?), guidi boots.

Can anyone link me to this cardigan? Seems like a good replacement for my +J one which I wear a lot.

Schneider bee. Pops up on grailed infrequently. Mine is a 5 for reference

There is one on grailed now (not my sale). Size 4, probably s/m depending on how you want it to fit.
