what are the opinions here on the rubber straps for the panerais? if i get a new watch, i would want something i could wear in the summer and not worry about sweat ruining it.
a DJ is one option, but the metal bracelets on the panerai are too chunky i think for my everyday wear. what say you all about the rubber?

Many (most/all?) PAMs come with a rubber strap as well as a calf or alligator strap.

I wore this today:

not the rubber strap that came with the watch, but the Panerai rubber 'accordian' strap.

good info, thanks.

what model is that? its nice.

i like that rubber strap much more than the one with the panerai lettering in huge letters starting right by the lugs and going down from there.

That's the 177 I mentioned a few posts back. I too prefer this over the standard issued one with the tacky branding. This one only has a subtle op logo on each side.

good stuff..

titanium + rubber strap = comfortable as hell I bet.

Thanks. Yes, it is very comfortable and a nice option for when it's hot or if you wear the watch to the pool/beach (just realised I misspelled 'accordion' above).

No question, great piece. Did you purchase new? CS makes great dress watches, good value as well. Like the Breguet numbers. Wear it in the best of health.
