My current favorite is this late 60s or early 70s Longines Ultra Chron, with the manufacture hi beat calibre 431 (36.000 A/h). Really cool shape case too, reminds me a little of the Heuer Monaco with the faceted sides

I am not convinced on the standalone branding I really don't have any issues having Seiko on my watches, some of the older model looks unbalance without the Seiko on the dial.

Over two years ago, in March of 2015, something happened that we at HODINKEE had always dreamed of but never really expected: we were given access to all four of Rolex's main manufacturing centers.
Even a non-Rolex person is impressed by the scale and QC.
