Lol wow thx!
i was inviting preferences. Ive noticed proponents for both here and would be interested in hearing the whys.
I've also heard some people say they prefer the no-date Sub, because the prefer the "Cleaner look" of no date and symmetry of having hour markers at the 3 and the 9 position (rather than a window for a date). I don't mind the date or a cyclops, but I can also appreciate why some people preferring not to have a date on a Sub.
looking around i can see what you mean... actually i think i like the black dial with no date but i prefer the green dial with the cyclops! lol
Full disclosure: I actually prefer the Sub date because I like having a date complication on my watch. I find that it comes in handy and I enjoy having the added convenience. With that being said, and slightly cheekily, I was just pointing out that the "Sub" as it were, has no date. The original watch, the icon, the Bond watch, the Sub... No date. now, with that being said, I believe I read somewhere or heard from someone that the Sub date actually out sells the sub by some margin, but I have no facts to back that up. At some point, I will probably get a SUb date, though given my recent setback, that point is likely to be a reasonable distance in the future, but I digress.I've also heard some people say they prefer the no-date Sub, because the prefer the "Cleaner look" of no date and symmetry of having hour markers at the 3 and the 9 position (rather than a window for a date).
