Got this in the press release today, the Panerai Luminor BiTempo New York Edition - PAM01467 View attachment 2031605
The New York Luminor BiTempo New York Edition - PAM01467. I don't know the size. Not half bad, but I like the design paired with what is probably a pretty chunky watch. I remember when everyone was making these larger and larger. Maybe we can dub it the East River Diver.
Can you imagine if this didn’t have a date nor a small seconds indicator?

No date, yes. But I think that the design calls for the small seconds indicator.

In NYC a little over the next few weeks for work. Anyone know a good place to see Pateks, specifically 5270s and 5970s? Thanks.

I’ve very rarely encountered folks interested in watches who have achieved the one-watch collection. Most of us have a few or even many. This being the case, I’m sort of bewildered by the persistent “versatility” selling point.

I mean, a watch being versatile makes it nearly always the least optimal choice, if always an acceptable one. Conversely, highly specific watches are perhaps much easier and more rewarding to wear because it is often clear exactly where and when they should be worn.

Rant over. Carry on…

There is a member here who definitely knows a guy that can probably hook you up with some empty boxes for paper cutouts?
Are the boxes new or used? I may settle for NOS but prefer 2023 new boxes.

But seriously, if anyone knows a dealer that I can try on some Pateks in NYC it would be appreciated. London also works. Getting to try on the Pateks I want in the city I live in is not really possible. Really want to see a couple of 5270s and 5970s together before pulling the trigger. Thanks.

Your best bet is the gray market dealers that have a brick and mortar store

That's what I am looking for. I'm in NYC for work a decent amount but always go to ADs. I know gray market dealers in Philly and Boston but not NYC. It might not be possible to find a dealer with both watches but would be nice to know who is decent to deal with.

How do you prefer trousers to be finished?

  • Plain hem

  • Cuffed (1.5 inches or less)

  • Cuffed (more than 1.5 inches)

  • No preference, as long as the proportions work
