Interesting. @Subscribed shared photos of him in the 52 and we agreed it was a little less tailored than we’d like, in addition to long in the arms, and he and I are basically the same size. You are also similarly sized. Why so relieved you went 52?
The sleeves I agree are a tag long but the 50 would have been much too tight.
it does depend on how you see yourself wearing this jacket. I think having a little more room allows you to wear it both ways.
I don’t love this pic but you can see that even the 52 appears quite tailored so 50 would have been really really tight.

I’ve tried to keep an open mind as far as other suede jackets, but I’ve been really fixated on the Clint in particular. I did a deep dive on leather jackets a few months ago and decided that I just had no interest in trying to consistently style full grain leather, and since I have long loved suede as a material (especially my 6234F suede Alden loafers), a suede leather jacket became an obvious choice. Is there anything from a brand or maker that anyone would recommend that is in the Clint vein that I maybe would be able to try on it before buying?

Are you asking about style or fit?

with regard to Clint would have thought Levi/PRL/Todd Snyder and the like would (or even jcrew/banana republic in the past) all have something in that style (but not same detail)

This brings up an interesting question on black vs brown. Has anyone had both maybe and can chime in? @dbbradle If you could recommend only one to a guy without a leather jacket, are you saying black or brown?

I have a pair of these. They are really nice summer trousers, very light.

@Subscribed did message me. I’ll ask this here too though, as I’m very torn on whether to get a 50 or a 52.

I’m 6’2 185 with about a 39” chest and a long torso. Most of my jackets measure about 22.5” pit to pit with shoulders between 18 and 19 inches. Would the gents on the forum lean toward a 50 given that information, or advise a 52?
I’m 6’2”, 170lbs, 39” chest and the 50 fits me beautifully. The torso and arms are a little longer than I expected, which makes the fit just right on me.
