No, not unreasonable but it's international.

I asked you to show me photographs of the loose threads. Everything I am selling has not been worn in over a year a piece. Other than photos, I didn’t really examine them. I said to you I would refund you if you sent them back to me. You forget to mention that you received several other pairs of fine trousers from me (that your thighs were too big for, apparently), so there is no pattern. I have sold plenty of things on this forum without issue.

I am not going to pay the return cost of shipping for anybody, regardless of the issue. If you want a refund, send me the item and I’ll issue it without delay. I am not going to pay return shipping anymore than any seller or business would pay for return shipping.

re: inmamy — I really don’t believe you, honestly, I have just checked and have photos proving there were no stains of any kind. you attempted to blackmail me with a chargeback (meaning I would lose the full amount) and said that instead of sending it back you would donate the shirt to charity. again, send it back (pay for it) and I’ll refund you immediately. i have nothing more to say, other than that. bicker back and forth, tell lies, whatever.

Yeah, I'm sure it wasn't intentional or malicious...but at least an apology for the oversight would be a better starting point versus trying gaslight a buyer into thinking they're the problem.

i checked my account inbox for the first time in a few days today, and he was ranting and raving, saying he had given me the benefit of the doubt (we hadn’t even spoken) and told me i had two options: refund him and pay for return shipping, or he would request a full chargeback for both items and then ‘donate’ the shirt. unfortunately chargebacks are not offered by my int’l payment processor, and at any rate, requesting one would be theft since he wouldn’t be returning the other item included in the cost that he paid for. i have no patience for people like him. he is rude, pushy, and quite threatening. because i am telling him he won’t get a refund unless he pays return shipping, he has resorted to posting on every single of my sale threads and trying to drag my name through the mud. ridiculous really. if there was a stain under the armpit, it was an accident. i would never intentionally do anything like that, to anyone. i am not a thief.

My man, I've attached our conversation for all to see. People can judge for themselves who has been "rude, pushy, and quite threatening," and "ranting and raving."

I won't comment on the actions of individuals, but to be practical https://deo-go.com can remove the 'set in' stains from common deodorants with ease. A word to the wise for some vendors perhaps?

You, in my opinion, at worst is a malicious seller/thief who knew of the pit stains and advertised it as “minimal wear”, or at best an ignorant/incompetent seller who couldn’t be bothered to check to confirm the actual status of the item, and incorrectly labeled it as “minimal wear”.

Either way, you should try to at least find a middle ground with the buyer, again, in my opinion. Split return shipping possibly? I guess the buyer should have asked for additional pictures, but I also have generally trusted SF sellers as well.

How do you prefer trousers to be finished?

  • Plain hem

  • Cuffed (1.5 inches or less)

  • Cuffed (more than 1.5 inches)

  • No preference, as long as the proportions work
