Selection - limited options compared to how vast the Vass last and color and style catalog is
Price advantage - significant compared to a retailer like No Man Walks Alone or Ascot Shoes
Holiday hours - email Mr. Kuti (general Vass email on their website) and find out their hours
Order for pick up - Vass doesn't like to allow new customers to order directly, they will direct you to a local retailer - you can only order direct if you go to the store (or have someone go for you)
Current pricing - I don't know what it is now (recent posts have indicated a price increase), but in August I paid $450/pair for calf/suede shoes, and $550/pair for shell cordovan shoes (I know the shell price has gone up since) - you get a discount if you pay via bank/wire transfer

base price as of november is 135,000 HUF before you get to exotic materials and processes

Wow. Looks quite lovely! Congrats. I'm liking this SP last. It's unfortunate that the angle on the web site photos is rather unflattering.

Can you comment on the SP's instep? I have a low instep and the F and U are relatively too high; I hear the S has a lower instep but I haven't owned a pair yet. I'm wondering where the SP falls...

my first pair of Vass:

style 5069 in brown suede on the single leather beveled waist sole on the K last. This was made in a narrow width for me, which you probably can tell right off of the pictures.

These shoes hold right up with my other top level shoes from Gaziano & Girling, Edward Green, Enzo Bonafe, etc.

The details and finishing are amazing, the comfort factor is great, and they are very sturdy without being super heavy like my Alden shoes. The suede used on this pair compares directly with my suede shoes from G&G too!

Very cool RogerP I am also using this for business casual. With sports coat & dress pants & jeans.

Be sure to lace them both up symmetrically, though ;)

Wow! Excellent choice.

I was in the market for a suede derby recently but ended up getting a carmina split toe. Should have done something like this!
