The U was too narrow for me and the F is perfect. Not sure whether they are .5 difference in width though.

How does the F Last compare to the U? Do you recommend sizing down .5 from the U last?

I wear my normal size in F and go up .5 in U. In addition to Mr. Kuti's comments that ino68 posted above, I thought the U had less overall volume when I tried my normal size in U. Both F and U +.5 are great fits for me. Others take the same in both so YMMV.

Haha! Figuring out Vass sizing is as complicated as interpreting the mysteries of Milo Rambaldi.

But there is your mistake: once you've figured it out, it will still vary! Prayer is your last recourse.

that blue suede is lovely. patliean1 does the suede feel soft? mine feel soft as a and drapery like a thick sock. its a stark contrast to the rigid, stiff, uncomfortable (by comparison) shell on the valway

That is why I might test another different last; I take the same risk doing so, lol!!.
This is a good point. I am the same in F and U, but have just dropped a half size for my upcoming Peter lasted Norweger. Fingers crossed :)

dropping a half size and up a width works best for me. dropping down .5 from f might me too much if youre a normal width or slightly wide foot. might get that small toe rub that makes you think twice about wearing them in the future
