Thanks for your response it's very helpful. I'm actually going to Niagara-on-the-Lake at the end of July so I think I'll just pick it up at Niagara Falls.

Do I just cross the border and say I'm going to a restaurant or something and then hide my new suit in my trunk? Lol

Something along those lines, yes.

There's always a chance of inspection, though there's a simple way of mitigating the risk at land border crossings when it comes to clothes and accessories.

I’m sure there may or may not be multiple factors that determine the outcome but just roughly what would I expect to pay on top of a properly marked package (duties etc) from the UK that was $1500 CAD

13% HST
18% Duties

On the value that was declared by the shipper!!

Soon there will be a 3rd Carbon Tax... 2nd might not be suffice for Justin's lavish spending habits!!

You'll pay HST on top of the duties, plus a brokerage fee to the company who's delivering.

I'll leave carbon taxes out of the equation.
