Thank you. I absolutely love the Vitsoe system - have also used it for my office and dressing room. The Eames is about 15 years old

We had this 1890's Navajo blanket recently installed. It came from Shiprock Santa Fe. Our home is almost entirely neutral so the red and orange are a wonderful pop of color. We had a smaller, similar one but we wanted something larger and were delighted to find this one. As with all of our Navajo weavings, we have them hung on the wall using a french cleat. We never use velcro or finishing nails.

Here is a view of a french cleat. You can see that there are two rows of very fine and a sharp display pins pushed from the back and angled upward. The fine pins don't damage the fabric and the two rows of pins prevent pulling. The french cleat has three major advantages: 1) easy to remove the blanket or rug so that you can turn it and reverse it over time 2) the weaving sits about 1/2 an inch away from the wall giving it a floating look which is quite nice. 3) It doesn't damage the weaving. We never use upholstery nails or velcro to mount a weaving as they can damage the fibers from the weight of the weaving over time.
