Hi all,

This is a straight out of the box Model 15 from the Armoury. Is it too short? They don't offer L sizes unfortunately and I'm about 6'2.

Any other thoughts appreciated.
It looks pretty good 👍.Definitely passable in most if not all aspects. But, your silhouette could benefit from an inch or so of more length in my opinion.

I’m 6’4 and lanky. Finding long enough jackets was always a problem(impossible even) until I went MTM. So, I have a bias towards longer jackets because I had to make do with too short jackets for a long time.

Ya, I thought it was borderline. Really like the fabric so I may keep it unless someone tells me it’s a no-go.

Thanks for somewhat assuaging my fear. Agreed though, could definitely use an inch or so additional length and a somewhat lower button point.

Yea on second glance, the buttoning point is pretty high. I missed that on the first look.

I think you can do better.

Try the Model 3 instead. They're a touch longer than Model 15 and have lower buttoning point. The Model 3 fits me really well, but I don't like the way Model 15 looks on myself.

Agree, but the issue with the Model 3 is shoulder width. My shoulders are too wide for the 56 and they only make a 58 in a few colors. I have a 58 navy jacket that I love.

Maybe I just need to go MTM or MTO.

@epsilon22 touched on this, but it looks like that’s just how they cut the jacket. They mention the higher buttoning point and shorter length in their description.

I see, that's definitely unfortunate, as their MTO prices are really high compared to the RTW pieces. I think starting at just over $2k for sport coats, last time I asked.

I think my tailor was going to shortened that but ran out of space for the buttonhole was. I am debating to shortened it slight and leave only two (maybe one) cuff buttons.
That would be fine, imo. You could shorten via shoulder too to avoid messing with the buttonholes.

Picked up this jacket second hand. Buy the numbers it should fit pretty good and the back seems to. The balance is fine. Obviously the sleeves would need a little shortening, however I am more concerned with whatever is going on with the bowing lapels. Is this just a matter of letting out the front or is there also an issue with the lapel pressing?

I really like the color, materials, and lightness. Just want to make sure this is not a hug cost issue.

Looking forward to receiving feedback on these off the rack trousers and the sport coat.
I am leaning towards keeping the jacket, considering it is off the rack the fit is quite nice. The waist needs to be taken in and the sleeves are too long, but chest and shoulders fit nicely albeit not perfect (but for that I would need bespoke).

Not sure about the trousers, something about the crotch is bothering me.

Thanks on advance, I hope the photos suffice, the dark blue is difficult to photograph.

Finally got to try Natalino jackets. I ordered both 46 and 48 of the Natural Windowpane Wool Cashmere Blend Jacket. As the consensus seems to agree that Natalino runs on the bigger size, I think 46 is a better fit at the front but the 48 drapes cleaner at the back but I've been out of this tailoring scene since Covid so looking to hear everyone's thoughts. I do like the relaxed tailoring fit like how the site model wears it so would taken in the waist of the 48 works then?

First 4 pics are 46, followed by 4 pics on the 48.

For reference, I'm 170cm and 67kg. I'm normally a 48.

TIA!

The 46 is too small in the waist, the 48 is too big in the chest. You can wear the 48, but I would not take it in (it will probably destroy the balance unless you have a veryy talented alteration tailor). Shorten the sleeves, of course.
Maybe you should look for another cut/brand with a less drapey chest.

Not an expert on the alterations side of things but I would tend to agree that the 48 looks more passable (once sleeves are shortened).

FWIW, I have had a very similar experience to yours with Natalino jackets. I also usually wear a 48 but the Natalino jackets are on the full side for me (particularly in the hips, oddly). I have tried sizing down to the 46 but it’s just too snug and too short (I particularly don’t like how high the button stance ends up with the 46 but this may also just be down to their style).

Sadly, I’ve resigned to moving on to different brands (a shame because the Natalino price point is very appealing).
