Atrocious. Notch lapels or waaaay too skinny peak lapels. Pocket flaps! Just tuck them in for God's sake. And horrendous shoes. Pre-tied bows to boot.

Tom Hanks looked good, as long as you're okay with the '70s/TF bow tie. I didn't see much... was watching bits and pieces on the plane.

Big fan of Budd. Beautiful shop. I take it you would wear this with studs, as is possible on their shirts? Not sure about exposed buttons on a shirt for black tie.

Those buttons are removable. They are attached to a strip.

From my wedding -- Midnight blue flannel diner suit feat. an uncooperative left shirt sleeve.

^ Congratulations. Out of curiosity, what inspired the choice of flannel?

It was an outdoor wedding in late fall, so was looking for something a bit more substantial. I really dug the texture of the flannel, as it made for a subtle, playful difference. But the biggest reason was the color. The cloth was (IMO) the perfect shade of midnight. I would have gone worsted had I found something in the same color.

Money blindness. I want to poke my eyes out. How is it possible to get it so wrong? And with so much money and presumably advisors.

At least he's not wearing a hoodie.
Thanks. Now I've got this frightful idea for an "evening hoodie" stuck in my head: midnight blue wool, double-breasted (no zipper). Grosgrain trim around the cuffs and edge of the hood and jetted handwarmer pockets.

Black silk ribbon to cinch up the hood.

I want to gouge out my brain.
