Yes, I see your point. I was going overboard and conflating shoes that are trainwrecks with shoes that are outlandish.

Saw this in the Kintetsu department store the other day. Forgot the manufacturer's name. EDIT: They are by Magnanni. The pair on the bottom, just out of frame, are some very nice Grensons that I haven't found a counterpart to online (i.e., at a sane price).

Those shoes appear to have been inspired by the flounder fish.
