Thank you for your advice. Thank you and I will try that. I’m contemplating returning it as not sure if it suits me, but always wanted a raglan sleeve coat and it’s at a pretty decent price

Now that is a better question to ask. How and with what do you plan on wearing this coat? Imo it fits the less formal spectrum best. Would I wear it with a suit and tie? Yes for a normal office day but not as likely for important meetings or events. I do have a charcoal balmacaan that I can maybe get away with but thats my limit. Otherwise I wear it with separates and more casual outfits.

Always happy to help, if I can. By the way, your classic double breasted overcoat looks great. If you want to add a balmacaan, you will have other occasions, if not sure of this one.

Thank you. This will be a weekend or casual coat. I can wear it with some brown sports coats but never with a full suit. Still in two minds, think I will have to sleep on it and decide.

I got the same balmacaan but in grey. See a few posts above. At first I thought it was too large but now I wear the coat all the time and I like it a lot. Get a lot of compliments too. I bought one size lager than my usual size. 52 instead of 50.

I’m normally a 48 (38) so it is my size, just feels a bit big.

I haven’t got the bill yet from fedex so not sure.

I just received this raglan coat in grey herringbone tweed by Berg&Berg. I bought a size 52, while I usually buy a size 50. My size was already sold out. It's a nice fabric but I'm afraid the coat is too big for me. It feels kind of restrictive when I move my arms up. I think the armholes are too large for me. Should I send the coat back or keep it?... I'm wearing a shetland sweater under the coat and that's what I plan on wearing the most with this coat.

I generally like Berg & Berg, but based on what I've seen in this thread, I'm really not feeling their balmacaan.

The shoulders sit strangely and the collar seems awkwardly stiff.

Hi all. I ordered this from Berg & Berg but unsure how it looks. It’s my first raglan purchase and it feels slightly boxy. I have come to you guys for some advice and to tell me how it looks.

It looks like it's supposed to and personally, I think it looks great. I have two - 18east and S.E.H. Kelly and love them. However, you have to be comfortable with the look.
