Again, not a huge amount this week. Starting first with availables.

Charles Tyrwhitt tan captoes, almost new condition, size 7.5 UK, which is what, about 8.5 US?
I always associated Charles Tyrwhitt with shirts, so I wasn't sure if I should pick these up. But I had it in my cart, and one fellow thrifter comes up to me and starts talking to me how nice the shoes are. He made up my mind.

Doesn't fit me (about 0.5 size too small, dammit), so available. Would like to trade for like-quality tan/walknut captoes/strands in 9D.

Canali Windowpane - $6.00.
Size 54 Euro. Too big for me (dammit), so went to a friend, which fits perfectly. Would you say this is an orphan, or a proper sport coat?

Magee Donegal Tweed Sport Coat - $1.99.
Finally the tweed I've been looking for. I have no idea how this was $1.99, but I'll take it. Salt and pepper with flecks of red, yellow, and blue. You can really see how square my shoulders are in that pic.

Brooks Brothers Tie - $1.00.
Boring, conservative, emminently wearable.

Fendi Necktie - $1.99.
Meh, was only $2. I will probably let this go later.

Pendleton Wool Necktie - $2.00.
Black with dark green. The green is barely visible in most lighting conditions, so this will be my winter "black" tie.

I am. But we're well past the 'keep fighting' stage of things. We're talking a year+ of constant job searching, have applied to every single listed position (coupled with dozens of open apps, hopeful applications to places with no stuff no, interviews via contacts, etc) that I'm even arguably qualified for in the state be it government, judicial clerkship, firm, or corporation. And nothing. Waiting to hear following a callback for a position I'd actually like so that's nice. But yeah, we're past the encouragement stage.

I won't offer any platitudes, just wanted to say best of luck with your ongoing search. I've been in that situation before (haven't we all?).

In my 18+ months of hunting, I've never found Stefano Ricci in the wild. Yesterday, 75 miles from home, I find one. Today, I find 3 more for a buck and some other older Italian ties.

Never heard of Mila Schon before, but since it was with a Brioni, Missoni, and a generic Battaglia (and those 3 Ricci's), I decided to snag it.

4 Stefano Ricci ties

Brioni, Missoni, Mila Schon and Battaglia ties:

Due to Wes's strong influence over me, I bought a Conair GS290S 1500W steamer. Looking forward to trying it out.

And lastly, I snagged this single button, cashmere sportcoat. Never heard of the brand before - Monte Factor / Jerry Rothschild (and haven't done any research yet), but I really liked the buttons. Maybe real gold with pearl inside? The back of the buttons make them look handmade. Look at the tiny lapels.. Thinking the early 60s? Looks a little "Rat Pack-ish" to me.

I know this is a long shot (I mean a really long shot) - but if there are any Finns here, are there any places to thrift in Helsinki?

I can also get my hands on a London Fog trench coat if anyone is interested. I need to know before 4:30 PM central time.

In case the original poster is overwhelmed with requests for a London Fog trench, I'll pick up the slack and say I can get my hands on 15 or 20 London Fog (and affiliated - Misty Harbor, Towne, etc) trenches by noon the 'morrow. Mostly women's but that doesn't matter...does it?
