Maybe if there was an SW&D thrift thread, noob :p Although to be honest, I don't really find a whole lot of nice SW&D, save for those RRL jeans a couple pages back

Is that an SC or a full suit? Been looking for a decent quality blue windowpane/glenplaid suit for a while. That might be slightly more vtg than I'm looking for, but figured I'd ask.

Attempted without success to locate the pants, so I guess that makes it a sportcoat :(

I can't believe the lack of love for Jil Sander, LOL! $450 shirt, LOL! I thought I won the internet, LOL!
j/k. Back to the drawing board.
I will best you yet, darkmatter!

I love Jil Sander. I think there's just not much knowledge about it. I found a lot of Margiela, Jil Sander, Issey Miyake andYoji Yamamoto shirts a couple years back and there wasn't any interest generated at all.

2) BIG BIG difference between a Victorinox shirt (which was offered) and a Brioni shirt (left on the rack).

All I was saying is that if you come across Brioni, Isaia, Kiton, etc (The TOP brands), I would pick them up if they are in good condition as I'm sure it will fit someone here.

Big +1. I cringe when I hear of Brioni, Isaia, Kiton, etc left behind at thrift prices.

Longtime lurker, first time poster. A few questions for you all:

Found a NWT made for Harvard COOP OCBD. Any idea who makes this? The string that holds the tag was there, but the tag itself had fallen off.

Also, found a 3/2 roll BB suit. Feels like an old Brooksease travel suit (first time to see a 38L, my size, on a thrift), however, only one tag on the entire suit. No other markings whatsoever. Anyone else see this?

Finally, PRL for Saks. Center vent, though, button stance is very low. Is this an orphan (no tags inside)?

Bedbugs do not survive long enough without feeding on blood so while you can get it from hotel beds or sitting on a chair that was sat by a bedbuggy clothed person very near afterwards you can probably not get it from thrifted clothes.

Dangerously incorrect about bed bugs. Be careful about what you bring in your home.

Bed bugs are resilient. Nymphs can survive months without feeding and the adults for more than a year.

They could well be in thrifted clothes, luggage, and upholstered furniture.

I was going to say Nataku's found some amazing SW&D stuff! I'd kill to find a pair of sleek Miyake pants or Yoji Yamamoto anything. IIRC, acosbysweater also found some great-looking Common Projects Achilles lows awhile back.

Awesome shirt! I once pulled a brand new Thom Browne OCBD from a thrift and nearly **** my pants.

Thanks for that correction, I was mistaken. Apparently they are killed by the dry cleaning and laundry/dryer according to this so still the risk is same as when you sit in the lounge of your favorite hotel bar, train, airport, airplane, taxicab etc. , when necessary precautions are taken. Never got a bedbug in 30 years of flea market/and thrifting, my first experience was in a very fancy hotel.

BTW you should always be careful on what or who :) you bring your home so I can't agree with you more.

My GW pickups have the same smell. Whether they have a dryclean tag or not. Different locations, too Nothing bad, mind you, but methinks it is sprayed by some sort of antseptic. I could be wrong though.

Went to Savannah for the closing weekend of the Savannah Music Festival. Walking around with the wife on Saturday, she ducked into a shop and I poked my head in their teeny, tiny Goodwill. Came out with this:

I left behind a few HF bespokes for lack of pants (one had surgeon cuffs with MOP buttons).

I hear that they also favor Danish stereo equipment. "There's buzz in this tweeter that won't go away..."

I was content with my women's haul of Rag & Bone, Smythe les Vetses and 3.1 Phillip Lim until I saw this.

Don't even know how to respond to that picture.... It's pure win.

I'm actually really excited about this haul. The clothes should fit my gf, and the purses should make my mom happy. It's always a bonus when I can find clothes for my loved ones.

I have also found that the clothes at all the GW's I visit have a distinct smell. So, I think you are right.
