Rifle in the truck next to the open "beverage"Business in the front, party in the back
One of our reviewers recently reviewed the Malloch's Seaweed Newman Roll Neck Jumper. Check out his thoughts on this modern contemporary version of the British submariner jumper here.

That's a stunning restoration! How much time went into them?View attachment 2312601

Sometimes I just can't leave pairs like this behind. They MUST be reconditioned... Granted my antiqueing skills may not be on par with the manufacturer, or the likes of Bontoni/etc.. but I think I did okay. The old finish was completely crackled and junked up so off it came and new color was applied. Conditioned inside, outside and underneath. Laces were re-waxed, natch.

You might be on to a little sidebusiness here.Between that post and this one, I've almost finished the second shoe. Actually less time and effort than I thought. The overall color restored well with Saphir Cordovan cream. The toes I apply about 3 colors of cream polish, including a little Black just over the tip.
I'd say about 2 hours of "time" will go into this pair total but that includes doing some other things, washing hands about 40 times and watching YT vids. I'm a bit concious of how much hourage goes into any item and their end return, etc.
I mainly got these just to see how well I could restore them and to have fun. Selling them would pay me back my investment ($10) and cover my materials/time so that's nice.. But I take more satisfaction and "value" from restoring a pair like this because they just needed it. They were so misshaped and curved, wrinkled, dried out.. I felt bad for them. They deserved to look amazing again.
Been hitting the electronics section a bit lately, this one is a real highlight. Ca. 1980 Harman Kardon 570i Stereo receiver.
Left channel sounded wonky but after working out the buttons 50 presses each and turning each knob 50 times, it is working like a champ through all test and inputs.
Not the most powerful of amps but this thing puts out some seriously nice sound. FM Tuner is really very good and all the controls are smooth as silk.
I'll clean it up outside and go through it eventually, it's a keeper. Not bad for $29.
