January's off to a pretty good start, looking at the last few pages. Rock on gang!

Had to run down to North Scottsdale to take a girlfriend to have a procedure she was being sedated for (no, nothing lurid) and needed someone else at the wheel. I had about 90 minutes and the surgery was in a very upscale part of town where the pickins are usually good, especially at an animal-rescue thrift, though usually "designer-resale-boutique" priced. Imagine my surprise when I saw a sign saying "everything in the men's section $10". Including the shoes. Fun times.

Ben Silver, Looks NWOT because of the fold lines and cardboard under the collar, though could have been from a really upscale cleaner.

Another addition to my PRL loungewear collection.

To the shoes: first, a nice pair of Church's "Diplomat" in my size, so may have to keep.

Don't get as much for 'Gamos as in the good old days, but for ten bucks? Sure.

Awesome canvas/leather Braganos, nearly new. Bragano still has a pretty solid following, so these will do well.

Oh, and these: they do need a cleanup, as there's a small scuff on the left toe, but will polish up just fine.

Well, I would have kopped these anyway, but imagine my surprise to see they are actually CdG? Whodathunkit?

Not a big fan of RRL Made in China, but someone will grab it . . .

And finally, this doozie: pockets everywhere, leather armpit trim.

That's all for now! Keep it coming!

Part of a haul from a couple of weeks ago. Love the potted plant zegna. The vest isn't anything particularly special but I like it. Double breasted monster is a minty, possibly NWOT. Also picked up some cool crayola collectibles and a leather printed art piece framed. Looking back I may have left the accompanying tan BB pants behind at the store now that I think about it. Left a suitsupply orphan there as well.

amazing ! have you seen once upon a time in Hollywood yet ? tarantino has a lot of fun with Italian cinema
I have .I like Tarantino (I actually saw Reservoir Dogs in the theatre when it came out ,the theatre was almost empty but I knew I just saw a best of the year film)
But his western interpretations don't do it for me for some reason.
It's kind of like a reissue of a vintage watch or car,it's nice but just the same .
The great thing about these spaghettis is that just when you think you've seen them all another one appears .

I really enjoyed the whole 'do I go to Italy?' plot and the fun they had with the posters . Operazione Dy-No-Mite! and all that .

the good the bad the ugly is on my top 10 list . i've probably seen it 20 times . the last spaghetti western I caught was Hannie Caulder with Raquel welch , Jack elam , borgnine , etc . totally nuts westploitation . recommend .

I prefer Once upon a time in the west ,the good the bad is right up there.
Another good one is Duck,You sucker with Coburn (who was way cooler then McQueen btw)
But the more obscure onea are pretty crazy.
If you go on Amazon Prime there is a whole section .

How do you prefer trousers to be finished?

  • Plain hem

  • Cuffed (1.5 inches or less)

  • Cuffed (more than 1.5 inches)

  • No preference, as long as the proportions work
