Thrift stores aren't as knowledgeable as us and don't get paid enough to care if sh!t is real or not. They don't do it on purpose I don't think, but how many times have you gone to a spot with 3-5 clearly bunk Louis Vuitton bags behind the counter

I started pointing out fake stuff to thrift shop employees maybe ten years ago. After a couple of shoulder shrugs, I decided not to. It’s not worth my time, same as reporting fakes on eBay.

inefficient pricing is what makes thrifting work at all . the difference is knowledge .

this threak is an amazing resource ; there are some very knowledgeable posters . iykyk. i'm generally happy to help out but if somebody doesn't want to hear it that's fine too , no bother .
