And I guess I can throw the vacuum cleaner into the trade or sell arena if anyone in the San Francisco Bay area wants a Dyson DC17 Animal. You could suck Elvis through this thing. Lol!

Spent the day yesterday with our contractor friend dealing with the roof on our apartment building. Back's killing me, so took the day off...

But... Did notice my favorite spot was open for a few hours today, so why not?

Found the twin brother to our Dyson DC17 for $10. Need it like a hole in the head, but $10? C'mon!

And speaking of reuniting, found Bentley and Maserati shirts that no doubt came from the same guy I got the Aston Martin jacket from. All large.

I don't really want them, so if anyone here has anything interesting to trade, I'd be interested... Would rather you take the whole lot.

I'm a 9-9.5C-D... 36S suits and blazers, 30" waist, and small everything else.

Wonder when ecko jumpsuits will make a comeback. Still have a minty Allen Iverson football jersey or two from way back haha.

Passed on some Of those super baggy wide leg, deep pocket 90's limp bizkit type jeans (if you know, you know) last week, passed since they had some brown stains on them.,. eBay makes it look like they're back in tho. Anyone here have success?

Sorry, this is a liberal use of the term “thrift.”

You may wonder: What does hansderhund do in his free time? Does he train for marathons? Does he compose sonnets to be recited at elderly homes? Does he brush up on his Esperanto skills?

No, to all of the above. Since my youngest was born, my poor dog’s fur has been neglected. For those that don’t know, some dogs have double-coats that don’t naturally shed. Their coats can be stripped: the hair is removed by hand. It’s not painful, but it’s labor-intensive because you’re not using clippers or scissors. I’ve spent the past few evenings trying to catch up on my dog.

Why is this “thrifty?” The amount of work that it would take a professional to do it would cost a small fortune.

I was shocked, Charvet got back to me quickly on that tie made in Canada.

Dear Sir,

This tie is not coming from us and we have never licensed anybody in Canada.

Best regards,

Jean-Claude Colban

@Shoeluv , it's awesome they replied, especially that quickly! You reminded me to reach out to David Lance again, hopefully I hear back this time. Really hoping the content of one of the sport coats I found matches the overcoat I just posted a few days back.

Woah, so David just emailed me back himself asking for a number to call me at! He responded eight minutes after I emailed him. That's awesome!

How do you prefer trousers to be finished?

  • Plain hem

  • Cuffed (1.5 inches or less)

  • Cuffed (more than 1.5 inches)

  • No preference, as long as the proportions work
