Need opinion: does any old streetwear that was previously hyped (but now isn't) sell?

i can get a bunch of old 10Deep / Orisue / other random brand stuff for free.
Just wondering if I even want to put in the effort or just donate it all.

Never seen this before. Canali for Brooks Brothers.

Their grey-label items are really interesting; they outsourced production to a lot of different quality makers (Canali, Caruso, I think even Isaia?). It was a short-lived period but produced some nice pieces.

In response to the recent talk of vintage & “bootleg” t-shirts, I’ll be the first to admit it’s not my thing. However, lots of things aren’t my thing. Just because I may not love it doesn’t mean it doesn’t exist or have loyal followers. It’s funny, because there will always be the next thing on the horizon. Today it’s vintage t-shirts and when they run their course, something else will have already established itself. And so it is fashion.

It’s fun to consider, because speculation is where the money is in finance and retail. If you pick the right trend before it’s on fire, you could find yourself with a stockpile of stuff to hit the ground running. This is true in just about any field. Money can be made selling just about anything, I just choose clothes because I like clothes. That’s also what confuses me about people with shops on ebay that sell clothes, though it’s clear they don’t care to know anything about them. If you don’t like clothes, why aren’t you selling something you actually like?

I did not, but on the same note did anyone get these PRL croc captoes that were listed as "textured". I bid for a while but spaced on it at the end.

Damn! Always set up snipes so you don't have to remember when you find things like that.

I think the nature of hype makes the market fall off precipitously over night. Like beanie babies. Some people still hold on to those overhyped values because they just can't believe the bottom has fallen out.

I always love thinking about things like Beanie Babies & Crocs. The extremes people went to support these products is amazing on reflection, “this particular animal is going to be worth millions,” “...no, really, these are the most comfortable shoes in the world. Doctors recommend them to hike Mt. Everest.” There were a select few that got in and out at just the right time.

I was shocked, Charvet got back to me quickly on that tie made in Canada.

Dear Sir,

This tie is not coming from us and we have never licensed anybody in Canada.

Best regards,

That + some of the brands went from hype to zumiez, so even free i don't think there's any meat on the bones.

Size XL mostly

Couple of the pieces are nice and are things i'd wear today, but not my size

Donation it is. At least there was some older Supreme in the bundle that i can flip.

Spent the day yesterday with our contractor friend dealing with the roof on our apartment building. Back's killing me, so took the day off...

But... Did notice my favorite spot was open for a few hours today, so why not?

Found the twin brother to our Dyson DC17 for $10. Need it like a hole in the head, but $10? C'mon!

And speaking of reuniting, found Bentley and Maserati shirts that no doubt came from the same guy I got the Aston Martin jacket from. All large.

I don't really want them, so if anyone here has anything interesting to trade, I'd be interested... Would rather you take the whole lot.

I'm a 9-9.5C-D... 36S suits and blazers, 30" waist, and small everything else.

How do you prefer trousers to be finished?

  • Plain hem

  • Cuffed (1.5 inches or less)

  • Cuffed (more than 1.5 inches)

  • No preference, as long as the proportions work
