Slightly off topic but anyone have recommendations on other style of jackets/companies with flagship models of interest - obviously you have valstar(slowly leaning away from wanting to purchase the bomber now), and ragosta eidos (again i've seen versions which make me want it and others pretty hideous). Any others?

Would anyone be interested in trading their sand, brown, or grey rollable hat for my navy one? Mine is size 58 and made of rabbit

I don't think so - goes against his business model. He strives to waste nothing and thus only wants produce what people will actually wear.

The underlying motivation of reducing waste seems very reasonable and t I would also like to add that this business model is really something that fits with the products: the tactile experience I found to be both very important and one of the decisive elements in my purchases. I have started out with a hat, and really liked the scarves just browsing the webshop, however, when Marcus showed me the scarf, held it in my hand, it became clear that I will buy it. Similarly, regarding the suede jackets, it is well worth trying out the options there, Agyesh is an excellent guide. All his color choices are very good and you really cannot go wrong, and in this sense it becomes even more important to try them on, pair them, see and feel them. I knew dark brown and navy are the most versatile choices, was flirting with steel, and I ended up with a taupe flight jacket based on chatting, previous purchases, and recommendation. I could not be happier.

Sorry for being verbose here, bottom line: it is an excellent product that actually deserves the MTM-trunk show experience, which I would highly recommend to anybody.

That looks great. I like the lack of buttons.

Can anyone who has a hat comment on which seasons it's appropriate in? A wool hat seems like more of a F/W item, but the lookbooks have them worn in India, for example. Seems like that would be uncomfortable

I'm not a hat expert; I have a panama and the stoffa green rabbit. I'll probably aways prefer the panama in hot weather, and the rabbit seems more at home in the F/W. However, the beaver was incredibly light and supple and in the sand color, I think it would work fine in S/S.

oof... Everytime I try to purchase a Stoffa hat in size 59 it's sold out. Was hoping to get the Taupe rabbit felt one for this spring/summer/fall.

I've been pretty close to pulling the trigger on a Cucinelli asymmetrical zip jacket off eBay or elsewhere (because I'm not spending $5-6,000 on a jacket and find most other company's versions to be too busy with buckles and the like), but I may not after seeing these. I kind of love both styles. To further complicate matters, EIDOS has that denim one coming out... which looks awesome.

Either way, I just shot them an e-mail seeing if there's usually a better time to go around just to check it out. I don't want to waste their time until I'm dead set on it.

I'd greatly appreciate any pics or opinions on the short asymmetrical suede or leather ones from anyone that got one!

Agyesh seems pretty OK with people coming in to just check things out. I made my first appointment with no plans to order anything (ended up leaving with a scarf, but it was a small purchase).

I haven't handled the Cucinelli, but the Stoffa stuff is nice in that they're lightweight leathers. I find them easy to wear even up to 85 degree temperatures or so. Can't do that with any of my other leather jackets.

They're also MTM and Agyesh does a really nice job of fitting. I normally don't care about MTM casual clothes, but it works in this instance cause the jackets lend themselves well to tailored trousers and whatnot.

I do think the flight jacket is a little easier to wear, although it's also less bold. Been thinking about getting the asymmetrical jacket. Been wearing the flight one a lot.

Awesome - sounds great, and thanks for the heads up. I just shot them an e-mail to see if there is a time that is generally best for someone just walking in that may have one or two questions but want to avoid eating their time until being a more serious customer.

The comfort of wearing them in warmer weather is a definite positive too. Granted, I may cave if they have some tobacco suede or leather available. There was some Cucinelli in what they call "CU674" and that may have been the single nicest color of leather I think I've ever seen.

Saman Amel is a swedish company run by two friends, Saman Amel and Dag Granath. It started as a small business of MTO/bespoke (not sure which) ties but they now offer a full range of clothing, including suits, overcoats, shirts and knitwear. I believe like Stòffa, everything is MTM, and their suiting is all made in italy with full canvas etc, and they have 3 price levels depending on how much work will be done by hand (the top level being completely hand made).

I have a pair of trousers, an overcoat and one sweater from them and it's all great stuff. To me, they share a lot of the same asthetics and philosophy as Stòffa and the two brands are a great match indeed.
For knitwear, last season I believe they have two options, a lovely lambswool (I think Zegna) and cashmere from Loro Piana. I recommend visiting their website or dropping them an email for any actual prices, but I believe they charge around $250 for the wool and $450 for the cashmere.

Tried on one of the hats again at the latest trunk, but I'm still not sure I can pull it off (I'm sure my clean shaven baby face doesn't help )

i have been a customer with Saman Amel for a while. They specialize in made to measure, but also sell some knitwear. I have one suit, two turtlenecks and a pair of trousers from them, and would highly recommend anything they sell. Everything is of very high quality, and they have a great sense of style as well.

And yes, this brand goes very well with the Stoffa aesthetic.

My advice is if the hats fits, and you want it keep the sun off your head, wear it and enjoy it. Do you wonder if you can "pull off" that shirt? Do you wonder each morning if you can "pull off" pants today? ;)

That hat isn't crazy; people aren't going to stop you on the street in confusion. On the flip side, does this hat guarantee you 1 million instagram followers and turn you into a movie star? No, sorry, it does not. I would not buy it if you're looking to use it solely as a fashion statement.
