How do you guys feel about the new shirt jacket in paper-backed suede? Personally I like it, but I wish they brought back the design of the suede overshirt they did for EDITION 001.

Personally wouldn't buy either but I'd love to merge details of both to have a perfect version I would love. The oversized pocket and collar from 001, but the side entry pockets and buttons (not snaps) from the recent iteration.

Might be too 90s for some, but I think an unlike suede version of the field jacket would be nicer. Or something similar, a longer over shirt of sorts.

Has anyone gone in person yet to see if taupe suede was available? I couldn't help but notice that color missing. Sand is similar, but not quite the same. The mid-grey suede shirt jacket is probably the best color, but i already have another Stoffa piece in that color.

Taupe can be really nice but it tends to shift in saturation. I much prefer the top shade in these two examples, even though I’m sure both are edited and will not reflect the true color.

My taupe flight jacket also tend to look more greenish. In some lightning it looks less green.

The new field blouson looked good at first glance but there was something about it I couldn't put a finger on. After studying it a little I think it's the asymmetry. There are two points of asymmetry- the single left chest pocket and the button closure. Would have been an insta-kop had they decided to go with just one of those.

I think it looks a lot better in 3-ply than it does in cotton canvas, even though the latter feels more apt for the model itself.

I picked up a MTM u-vest in taupe yesterday. I loved the look of it online, initially thought it wasn’t for me when I saw it in person, but then wound up ordering it down the road.

I’m really digging it! The color goes with just about all of my sport coats and casual jackets. It makes casual outfits look a bit casual, and formal outfits look a bit more casual. The u shape of the neck and the ribbing give it a lot more visual appeal than the usual v-neck sleeveless sweaters I see.

I think vests work best when they’re at least a bit darker than the underlying shirt, but this will still work with most of my collared shirts.

Anyone here buy their RTW trousers or is everyone usually going the MTM route?
Stoffa’s cloth choices have always caught my eye but living in California I would be limited to what they offer online.

I’ve done both and actually really like the RTW offering and no longer go MTM. They’re easy about making minor adjustments if needed too.

How do you find the cut? I’m looking at the straight leg, looks pretty generous.

It’s definitely generous and a true straight cut, but I like it. Hard to find that shape otherwise in RTW, whereas many are doing the more tapered silhouette. But you can always have them make you one in their tapered cut too if those measurements make more sense. I’ve found their measurements to be pretty accurate across the board.

I find one of stoffas greatest strengths in terms of trousers is the way they're able to fit through waist and seat. This makes all the difference in making a straight/wider trouser work. I usually find wider cuts feels just off and baggy if those elements aren't right.
I'm waiting for delivery of the washed indigo high twist in a fuller cut (athough MTM) we'll see how that works out. Always easier to trim the leg than letting out so I say if you're unsure go for the straighter fit and if needed taper afterwards, if you're unsure.
