Here is something I noticed about a month ago. Do a “Find In Store” search for any RRL item on the RL website, then plug in zip code 10001 (midtown NYC) and 300 mile radius. Okay, RRL W’Bway, RRL East Hampton, and the Madison Ave Mansion all come up …. even Ralph Lauren Baby comes up … but RRL Williamsburg Brooklyn never comes up. It used to come up, but not anymore. It doesn’t even come up “Out of Stock” so it can’t be because they are out of the size.

I just noticed this last week when I was looking to buy a sale item. (I'm in Chicago but I often work with a SA in the W. B'way store to locate and buy stuff.) I found it strange but didn't think to post it here. Also, that SA I work with at W. B'way used to work at the Brooklyn store but got transferred for some reason. I didn't ask him why.

I’m brand new to RRL, though I’ve admired it for a while. Looking to get a pair of once washed selvedge denim. Can I buy it to fit, or do I need to account for some future shrinkage in the waist or length? Thanks!

Washed stuff will not shrink further unless you wash it in hot water and tumble dry it.

Hat works but the ensemble is intensely yee-haw, which might or might not work depending on context, courage and—to a large extent—your face.

Also, be aware that RRL uses vanity+2 sizing. For example, RRL size 30 fits a 32" waist.

Yesterday was a Canadian tuxedo with my oldest once washed straights, staple chambray western shirt and a blanket lined selvedge Lee Rider knockoff from the Authentic Dungarees line.

For those interested in hats it’s a mid 50’s Stetson Open Road in 7X CB quality.
