Annandale is generally regarded as having the best Korean food in the DC area, Rockville the best Chinese food. Several months ago, I got takeout from Anju, a Korean restaurant a few blocks south of my apartment that was getting rave reviews. I didn't find it anything special. At least not enough to forgo a much closer Korean restaurant for my bulgogi bibimbap fix. Maybe I need the dine-in experience?

That happens to me more and more these days.

I’ve heard Incheon is great but have only been to Ruthie’s which skews heavy but is fantastic.

Been there twice, but haven't tried their most recent menu (changes seasonally). It's a mix of trad Korean and some fusion with other cuisines. Great price for top notch food.

Yeah I'd probably go in person. Korean food is hard to do well via delivery, doesn't travel well imho. I would also say that it's for more sit down/non-fast casual type food. The owners also run CHI-KO which leans more into the casual type cuisine.

Hot Lola's is fine. Not worth the drive (even though ballston doesn't require driving).

I can just imagine a KBBQ place delivering food with a guy in a truck, carrying hotplates up to people's porches, cooking their food, and leaving.

Great idea! They should convert those group get drunk cycles that I see in Clarendon into KBBQ cycles with soju/beer.

Went fishing near Old Rag yesterday. They are not messing around as it relates to the now-required permit to hike Old Rag. There were rangers asking to see permits both for people on their way up as well as on their way down.

Dude, the new Koreatown is in Centreville now. All the good Korean restaurants are in Centreville.

Ugh. I just got back from Christopher Kim and learned that I needed to spend several hundred dollars to tailor a tuxedo jacket, due in large part to the significantly larger chest and uppers arms I developed over the last two years of pandemic lockdown. Hopefully this is the closest I get to knowing what it means to be "prison strong." #Humblebrag #GunShowLoophole

I just picked up my tailored clothing from Mr. Kim. As usual, he did a masterful job. If there is any quibbling, it's that the back pants pockets are a bit farther apart than ideal. That can't be helped given how much material was let out absent a prohibitively expensive recut of the entire pants, however. And it's something that would only be noticed by StyleForum nerds. If any StyleForum nerd comes up to me and comments on it, he will receive a smack across the face.
