has a laptop pouch, zip top, organizing panel, multiple pockets, stands up as much as tote bags can stand up.

Thanks for the link to Master-piece!

The functionality of the posted bag is really great. I'm a little torn on the appearance. I like the minimalist Mismo.

This Master-piece seems to have a similar vibe, but more functionality than the Mismo and CHEAPER:

Anyway, Master-piece definitely on the list.

Actually, my favorite tote right now is the one I got from SEH Kelly, with a print of the London skyline above their workshop.

No dedicated laptop pouch, though, and doesn't stand up on its own.

@TweedyProf you could also look at Mission Workshop’s Drift tote.

It doesn't stand up on its own, though? I'm making a guess based on the pic of you I posted.
If you’re looking for one that stands, my Oiz tote by Galea Bespoke will definitely do that as you can see.

Question for this crowd about tote bags. I've used cheap versions of them for shopping and these days, I'm often slinging my filson briefcase over my shoulders as I would a tote, mostly because I bring the dog to work with me so easier to have both hands free..

I like the idea of a tote as something larger but not a back pack, so I can carry it like a brief case but also sling it over my shoulders. I woudln't do this that often if wearing a sport coat/suit.

For those of you who use them, do you like their functionality better than a casual briefcase and backpack?

Do you travel on planes with them (I usually use a messenger bag, so I would think a tote would be more useful)?

Finally suggestions on nice ones with laptop section. I admit I like the mismo one (saw @emptym link to their backpacks in another thread)...wish it wasn't so pricey though.

The 1733 Daily Tote (https://www.seventeenthirtythree.com/shop/p/daily-tote) is a very well-conceptualised hybrid between a messenger and a tote. I use it in place of a backpack all the time and also fly with it. It can be a little difficult to get (he does a few pre-announced runs a year and they sell out right away).

That's nice! I ended up with a Masterpiece tote that I'm enjoying using quite a lot. Thanks for the link, though. Product and product pictures are nice.
