Very much agree and often describe Hedi as the French Ralph LaurenI'm similar to Morningstar but started a bit later around 30 IIRC so am mid-40s now, but with the Hedi aesthetic, to be honest, most people assume I'm a lot younger basically because I'm mindful of diet, exercise, clothing, etc. the obvious stuff and try to maintain a good posture, stretching, et al.
Anyway, my wardrobe is mostly Saint Laurent for everyday wear, a good dollop of Dior which leans toward my more formal attire (e.g. suits and a lot of knits like I have on now, and my favorite pair of raw denim, the 17.5 cm cut), and more recently a very wearable stable of Celine pieces, mostly essentials. It's basically my French Ralph Lauren if that makes sense.
Outside those pieces, I have some John Lobb footwear, which are insanely well constructed, Hermes scarfs, some Jil Sander stuff that I absolutely love from the Raf Simons days, and a smattering of rock t-shirts etc.
I suppose if Hedi were to do one more hurrah, I'd be interested in something a bit different, even darker in some ways. With Chanel buttoned up, I'm unsure what he could do that'd be prestigious enough besides opening his own brand with a lot of funding, but I've read here and other places that he might be too much an artist to want to do his own business, Margiela etc would seem almost a step down, but perhaps a return to Dior could be in order if the Kim Jones aesthetic ever slows.
