Just realized the gap in price between France and the US
5200US$ = 4810€ (with today’s conversion rate)
That same jacket is priced at 3800€ (4100 US$) in France

Nice pick up! These boots are on my wishlist too. Thank you for the Wyatt comparison. When I put them on/held them, that's what they reminded me of, but I see it's even more sleek like you said. I was ready to get them, but I have the cruiser boots in black leather which does the same thing for me and I wanted to see what the Spring/Summer '24 offering. I think I'm going get these new Leon boots that are set to drop (as per Celine's IG).

Looking at the pics on the instagram, it looks like this upcoming collection is more classic Hedi Slimane. I wonder how it well sell, as well as what pieces actually drop (le palace also looked like classic hedi slimane to me as well before items showed up in store).

Putting aside the fact that they need to make money, I'd like to see him stick to what he's good at, the way that Tom Ford and Rick Owens do, for example. Those two designers definitely have variation in terms of their seasonal offerings, but it always looks like their unique vision.

Also, I really like the metal toe on the Isaac boots.

Loved that bottle-green jacket. I remember being tempted to pick it up but thought it'd be too one-season-esque.

Wearing the Marin sweater in white cotton, and glad I picked it up 3-4 years ago. It's such a classic piece. I too find some of the newer drops promising in their simplicity and class.

Rick Owens is owned by Owenscorp which, as the name implies, is in turn owned by Rick Owens. So Rick is allowed to just **** around and do what he wants. I assume Hedi is too to some extent because he sells, but I also assume he's not allowed to get rid of the "newer" more street/tiktok aesthetic that has become so popular with Celine clients over the years.
