Supposedly there's going to be a new Trappist monastery brewery in the states

The monastery is 10 minutes from my house.
Happy to proxy or trade, assuming availability at the source.

They've made fruit preserves there for years. Wonder if they will experiment?

@JohnGalt I felt like a sour tonight, so I busted open that Merveilleux from the Secret Santa. Man this **** is good. So complex. Sour nose, mild sour upfront, then levels of fruit, bourbon, oak, and even red winey flavors. pretty fizzy and funky from brett. one of my favorite wilds. Thanks buddy.

Good to hear. While it has always been good, I feel like it hasn't been quite as good the last couple of years. Waiting for it to get to Chicago next week.

Midnight Brett is a major disappointment, on another note you packed those bottle beautifully, I was very impressed...

Every year after it's released a friend in Maryland keeps pestering me to ship him a couple of six packs (and I usually cave and do) and this year is no different. I've tried it a few times and just do not see the appeal. Waaaaaaaaaayyyyyyyyyy too bitter and hoppy for my tastes. I think I am definitely over the IPA and super high ABV craze.

All that being said, I'll definitely be keeping a bottle or two for myself from what I send him.
