Looking to pick up a pair of Guidi 988s, has the sizing gotten more consistent now or still hit or miss? If I'm a 43 would a 44 work?

I think you'll find it cheaper in EU given the deduction in VAT. Imports to Japan end up costing more unless you're willing to buy used.

You're right, EU is the way to go. Also looks like it's uncommon to see 44+ sizes in the Japanese stores.

Guidi question.

So I know the "MS" part in the Guidi 988MS name means they lack a toe cap, but are they necessarily "worse" than other Guidi boots? Would appreciate some insight here.

Like, would that impact the quality at all? Will they age worse than Guidi boots with a structured toe like the 988Z model etc.

are these boots actually carpe diem? The reason I ask is because I am having trouble finding the exact model, as well as this boot in particular not having any paneling in the middle like most carpe diem boots do
