Stopped at The Shoe Mart today. Great store and an Alden enthusiast's dream. I think I may have found my next Alden there. Leydon last chukkas in brown suede.

Tons of good seconds in stock if you're in the market for fall boots and shoes. Nothing too exotic, but some great items.

I wish I was a 6.5. There was an awesome brown suede LWB with brass hardware. Someone with small feet should inquire!

Thanks for the post Chris. TheShoeMart is yet another top notch Alden retailer and I agree, a great place to visit. They always have many great makeups in stock and their rows of Seconds is something to behold. Fun to see those E-mails we all get excited to see in the tangible flesh. The Zapatkas are great as well. Glad that you enjoyed it!

They only have one customer location, which is in Norwalk off of Berkeley Street. They also have a magical warehouse near there, but customers aren't allowed...

To anyone who placed a pre-order with Epaulet for the Color 8 Brixtons in size 7.5D, I would like to buy your pre-order spot if you change your mind on the boots! I know this is a long shot, but just putting it out there.

Until then, I'll wait until Epaulet or Unionmade releases them again.

Or, is there anyone making a plaza lasted WT boot with all eyelets and antique sole?

I lived in Norwalk for about nine weeks on a business trip a few years back, but hadn't heard of Alden yet. Talk about missed opportunities.

So the following is pretty much a grail boot for me (and several others here from what I gather).

NST
Natural Chromexcel OR Reverse Tobacco Chamois
Dark metal eyelets/speedhooks
Storm welt
Natural/antique edge
Commando Sole
Barrie Last

Basically the exact boot Yenni has right now at B&M only on Barrie. While she may have chosen TruBalance over Barrie (B&M seems to be doing a lot of TruBalance makeups coming up), I am assuming another retailer is/has done the same makeup on Barrie and hence B&M not offering it. But who? Closest I have seen are Unionmade's offerings, but theirs are not on commando, which would suit this boot perfectly.

So what gives, seems like this would be a perfect casual boot for many of us... wonder if there's enough interest if we can get a retailer on board to facilitate...

Leather Soul has made one several times, but in brown CXL (which I love). Not sure on last, but they've done the same makeup on Barrie in natty cxl.

I'd love to have this boot... They were very non-committal when I asked them if/when they were going to offer it again. If they do, I'll probably buy it instantly unless I've picked up a different NST (considering a Color 8 blucher)
