Quiet Rant:

Gents, please forgo the purchase of a half a pair of Aldens and get yourselves a proper digital camera. Shoot without flash. Perhaps visit Tumblr for some visual cues. I'm being a ***** here, but much of the photos here are...unflattering to your most excellent footwear.

Wonderful.

I have the BB version of this shoe. But whether it's the BB Version or the factory 2160 (pictured), this shoe should be in every businessman's wardrobe. :nodding: And so should the 2161.

nephew,
thank you
it is 2160

i have smalls and mediums in woodlore epic. a medium is TIGHT. i'm a UK 7. Alden 7.5/Plaza 8. i tend to put the mediums in when the creases get really bad, brush them, and it tends to really let the creases be brushed out when they are stretched in like that. i am not sure if it's good or bad or insignificant. i don't struggle to fit the mediums, but they are definitely tight.

Wow, that's interesting. I'm the same size --- 7.5D Barrie/Trubalance/Modified and 8.0D in others. And the Epic Small's are pretty tight in some of my boots, although I could see room for it being slightly larger in other boots. So, Bakes, in regards to your question, I think you'd probably be happy with a Large since imolazhp is able to get a medium Epic into his size shoe.

from that angle, it looks like your foot is too wide for the shoe and/or excessive stretch of the cxl

I'm a wide in Barrie. I'm thinking this may be true for you, too.

I know that very well - I am a 9.5E in Barrie. I still push up a bit against the sides in that size... In cordovan, my feet conform more to the shoe. With CXL, it is a bit of the opposite. I've tried EE in some sizes, but the difference hasn't been enough for me to require it. I can wear Barrie Longwings in 10D but not other models (like captoe boots, which I've sold)

Edit - Trubalance in 10D also works very well for me

So I gave Hunt Club Clothiers in Cincinnati a call after hearing that their clearance sale extended to Aldens (in this thread). They confirmed this and confirmed that they can ship orders, but sadly my size was out of stock and it would be a 14 week wait.

Just figured I'd let everyone know. Sale extends through the end of the month.
