Quick Question guys - heading down to new orleans for a bachelor party this weekend. Was thinking of rocking color 8 lwb and lhs. Are these shoes too nice and will they just get ruined? Better off rocking a pair of beaters? Sorry if too off topic but curious what you all do in these situations.

Ha! That is more than HangerProject, who would charge $14 for the product plus $7 for shipping, to total $21... I guess I just need to buy a load of supplies... What do I need?

-Mike

$7 for shipping isn't all that bad. It just sucks that you are only buying one thing. I probably couldn't ship you my bottle for $7.

Never - im basically 90% sure anything i bring would get ruined so leaning heavily towards old school sperry boat shoe beaters.

agreed 100%

go and enjoy yourself to the fullest and do not concern yourself with the conditions of your footwear while doing so

Definitely wear beaters, unless you want to do a before-after challenge for shoe care.

Probably the best idea. If anything. No leather soles.

LoL, yeah, it is okay. Just hate paying 50% of the items cost just on shipping. But I agree, it isn't too bad. :)

Mike,

Enter promo code "Styleforum" when you go to check out of THP. It will give you a 10% off discount even if it is under $75.

Your best option is to call and make friends with the folks on the phone there. They're CS is stalwart.

Thanks!

Quote: Thanks guys. Was genuinely curious what you guys do in these situations. Usually if I know I'm going to a crowded bar/club etc I wear beaters. It seems most of us spend time acquiring and caring for our shoes and wardrobes in general. I do feel a little strange throwing on some beaters when I have nicer shoes on the rack. Kinda throws the whole outfit off if that makes sense. But I appreciate the comments and will bring the boat shoes with me.

LoL, thanks! I may get overshoes. A friend of mine swears by them for rainy days, whatever those are... ;-)

Someone requested to see these, so I thought that I would share them here. They are from the recent ShoeMart Cigar LWB drop.
And the shoe of the day is the Snuff Suede LHS for a day at home out of work sick.
-Mike
Only on this thread would someone not only put on a great pair of shoes and jeans while home sick, but also take several great looking photos of the shoes to post online! I feel absolutely terrible at work today and already plan on taking the morning off, and I can tell you I'll be in slippers and gym shorts in the morning.

Thanks guys.
That is a thing of beauty! Excellent trifecta.
What a Tuesday!
I really like the grant last too.
Are you sure those Indys aren't too wide? That huge toe box must be annoying
rotflmao.gif

Hahaha, I love the indy's. Sounds like you had a pretty productive week though, too. Alpine Grain CT Boots, Leffot LWBs and a CXL Indy? You're on fire!

Wow Chris. Congrats. Instant enviable collection!

Thanks Russ! I need to sign off of this forum per the advice of my financial planner.

Hallecks are my #wcw

Mine too! These are phenomenal. I was immediately glad that @BenLeaman grabbed the last size. However, it didn't change the fact that I still want them.

Chris - awesome boot! Congrats dude!

Thanks saz!!

I'm a 10D on Grant and 9.5D on Trubalance. I was on the TSM list back in the summer and was next in line I guess for the DC Ravello CT's. As always, these things just get confirmed out of nowhere and arrive at the same time!

Anyone know of a good place to get Saphir Reno'mat where I don't have to pay for shipping (or reasonably priced shipping) on an order below $75? I really don't want to spend $75 on shoe care products today... Thanks!

-Mike

I paid $15 shipped for a bottle from ebay a couple months ago. There were lots of options available at the time I bought, but looks like none available on the bay right now. I bought them from THIS user, might be worth a shot messaging him to see if he has any more available.
