After going back and forth on whether or not to keep the boots, I’ve decide they are too close to my color 4 pair to warrant keeping. If anyone is a size 10D barrie and interested in the Ravello wingtip boots, I’m going to list them on eBay when I can find some time in the next couple days.

Always tough sending Alden’s back especially when they are of the rare variety but I would have likely done the same thing. As nice as they are, I thought they were pretty close as well.

Such a beautiful shade of Color-Fourvello!

Happy Wednesday!

Ha, I love it. Great boot, even better name for it.....

Incoming today Gang. My itch-scratchers from AoM landed. Nothing special, just some basic C-8 Chukka's, but a model I've been searching for on the 2nd-hand market for a while. Generally I find myself buying less antique on 8 but I do like it with the commando sole. Strictly a casual make for me. At some point I'll figure out how to try on Chukka's without creasing........

And it's almost like I got a two-fer today as my torn Unlined BB's landed from Aram. Here's a quick on-feet shot after test driving them around the house for an hour or so. While I'll likely be a little nervous the first couple of times I wear them, they feel sturdy as heck. This guy is amazing......

Here's what they looked like when I sent them and the haters (oh yeah, you know who you are :)) said it couldn't be done......

It's really tough to capture how he did it but here is a shot of the interior where it appears as though he glued and stitched a piece of leather in the interior before stitching the exterior.....

I love my rare shells as much as the next guy but these BB's are true unicorns. I am really glad to get them back in the fold.

To quote IC, today was a good day.......

Not yet but to be honest, I had thinner (not dressy thin) socks on. When I tore them, I had boot socks on. Generally, I would wear these with medium socks but today they were not at all snug. I truly did not notice a difference. But again, I don't want to spike the ball just yet. While I'm truly amazed at how they feel, I'll feel much better after a couple laps around the track.

Shout-out to the cobbler who performed surgery on your loafers!

IKR! And I simply could not believe the price.

Just received an email from Carmina saying any shade of Cordovan in any style…the supposed “scarcity” is selective…
