My AoC natty boots (AoC-112) arrived while I was busy today. Tomorrow is the maiden voyage and I'm excited to get some of the last of the Natty....Pics tomorrow morning. Thanks again for all the well wishes today, you guys are great!

Is Alden done with Natty CXL or is that just a temporary thing?

I'm hoping it's just a temporary thing, but I have been told there are issues with securing natty, so it may be quite a while before we see new models. Had one preorder cancelled due to availability of the leather, lucked into these from Adam, so I jumped on them. Got a great pair on Plaza from Ealdwine a little while ago, now these, so my Natty collection is pretty complete, which is good as it is by far my favorite, non-shell, leather.

Got a pair of those in my closet, of all my saddle shoes, and I will admit only 4 pair, these are my favorites. Others are a pair of Alden AOC-24, AE Sheltons and a pair of J&M canvas blue/white.

Them's the gold standard right there. That shade seemingly deserves a new name. Nice to see such a terrific pair wind up in your lab Hubbins. Enjoy them.

I have a boot I collaborated with Adam/AoC on design that was delayed due to a natty shortage (grant last pct boot, natty cxl, brass hooks/eyelets, commando, indy quarter stitching) that I understand is delayed with no definitive delivery date, but the impression I got from Adam is they will go into production at some point. He estimated summer 2020 at earliest, but I think he was speculating some in that guess. Point being I do think they intend on having natty again, but for whatever reason the production planning and demand didnt meet the sourcing capability for Alden.

The list of household work never seems to lessen. I wasn’t planning on spending hours on a ladder today but the tan Vegano calf caps with deadstock starburst heel are always a treat to wear for any occasion.
